Tip Tuesdays: Shrimping

Yeah, you'll never be able to unsee this picture. Sorry.
This, my friends, is shrimping.

Today's tip- prevent shrimping!

Read more to find out what I mean and see which celebrity's let her toes hang out for everyone to see!

Prevent Shrimping

What is shrimping?

Shrimping: (verb)
when one's toes are so terrified that they are CLINGING on the outer part of the shoe for DEAR LIFE.
 Examples:
(1)  when you're wearing shoes and can feel the material of the flooring.
(2) Julianne Moore
Because that's attractive.
I've heard it called a shrimp cocktail because your toes are gripping on the outside of the shoe but I like to call it shrimping.

This will generally happen with all open toe shoes- expect peep toes. I'm sure you could have a two toe shrimp... I digress.

Shrimping particularly happens a lot when you find the best deal on a pair of open toe shoes, and you're doing the *WOOHOO deal of the century* happy dance BUT they're a size too small. Even though you want them badly, I recommend not doing it no matter how tempting.Your toes will not fit and will search for help. This goes with last week's post of purchasing the appropriate shoes for you but if you didn't listen to my advice and have a pair of shoes that shrimping is inevitable, there is a quick fix!

How to prevent it?

Purchase Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot Cushions. They "massage" the ball of your foot and make it tighter to prevent your foot from sliding forward. The truth is the foot cushions hurt like a bitch because they make it so tight that you will be in pain. BUT Yay! You saved your toe terrified toes!

PSA: Help out your toes! Prevent shrimping!
